Funeral services for Mrs. Eddice M. Pickel, of Farmerville were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, LA. Brother Larry White will officiate. Interment followed at the Farmerville City Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville.

Mrs. Pickel was born on Nov. 17, 1920, and passed away on May 28, 2019, at the age of 98. Mrs. Pickel was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. “Maw Pickel” was a wonderful cook and known for her beautiful flowers.

Mrs. Pickel was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Pickel, son, Shelby Joe Pickel, father, Bill Heard Savage, mother, Clara Savage, brothers, Percy Barnett (Son) Savage, Wilkes Lenard (Tinker) Savage, sister, Totsy Savage Albritton, and sister-in-law, Wilma Savage.

She is survived by her children, daughter, LaJune Edwards of Farmerville, son, James H. Pickel and wife Vickie of Sulphur Springs, TX, son Jerry L. Pickel of Farmerville, daughter-in-law Sharon Pickel of Marion, brother-in-law, Dan Albritton, and sister-in-law Bobbie Savag along with seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Greg Edwards, Craig Edwards, Jay Pickel, Tyler Holloway, Shelby Spillers, and Blaine Wilson.

Visitation was held from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.
