Margaret Frances “Fran” Folk (10-28-2009)
Funeral service for Margaret Frances “Fran” Folk, age 54, of Ruston will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church Sanctuary. Officiating the service will be Rev. Andy Hurst and Rev. Brian Mercer. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. She was born March 31, 1955 and passed away October 26, 2009. Fran was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ruston. She enjoyed annual trips with a close group of childhood friends (the Ya -Ya’s), and was very active in neighborhood watch. Fran worked diligently to preserve her childhood neighborhood, and was the author of two cook books. Fran was preceded in death by her parents: Frances and Thomas Folk and special companion Maggie. She is survived by son William Hedgepeth and wife Malea of Ruston; daughter Gwin Hedgepeth also of Ruston; granddaughter: MacKenzie Hedgepeth; and brother: Tommy Folk and wife Marion of Ruston; special friends; Stephen Beard and wife Amy of Ruston, and Maria Michelle and husband Leo of Simsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
Pallbearers will be Joey Beard, Chris Beard, Walter Moss, Brian Vann, Jose Michelle and Kyle Green.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ed. Mariano, Dr. Larry Neal and to Hospice of Caring Hearts for their love and care.
Memorials may be made to LA. Tech University College of Engineering and Science or Trinity United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
