Mrs. Sylvia Cox Doss (10-15-2009)
Funeral service for Mrs. Sylvia Cox Doss, age 87, of Dubach will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 11, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Dubach. Officiating the service will be Rev. Barry Joyner. Interment will follow at Hamilton Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
Mrs. Doss was born July 29, 1922 and passed away October 8, 2009.
Mrs. Doss was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dubach where she was a member of the Flora Colvin Sunday School Class. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was a fabulous cook and was loved by all who met her.
Mrs. Doss is survived by her brother; Earl Kenneth Cox and wife Carolyn of Louisville, KY; her children: Archie Burns Doss, Jr. and wife Camille of Shreveport, LA; Sherrie Kay Doss Landrum of Dubach, LA; Chuck Davey Doss of Dubach, LA; Sheila Fay Doss Roden and husband Michael of Bolton, MS.; Michael Lane Doss and wife Mary Elise of Monroe, LA; grandchildren: Kristine Doss, Jeffrey Doss and Sara Doss all of Shreveport, LA; Justin Landrum, Jr and fiancé Marti Lewis of Dubach, LA; Angela Chisholm and husband Michael of Rayville, LA; Marshal Doss and wife Karla of Ruston, LA; Allie Doss of Monroe, LA; Joshua Roden and wife Ashley of Warner Robins, GA; Nicholas Roden and fiancé Brandi of Bolton, MS; Joe Doss of Shreveport, LA; Katherine Boggs and husband Chris of Texarkana, TX; and great granddaughter: Cadance Collins of Shreveport, LA.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
