Funeral services for Ida Ruth O達ryan Quarles, age 86, of Downsville, LA will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, LA. Rev. Jerry Whitman will officiate with burial to follow in Downsville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Ida Ruth was born on December 15, 1922 in Abbeville, LA and passed away on September 24, 2009 in Ruston, LA. She was a member of Holmesville Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Ray Quarles Sr., parents, J.W. and Ella O達ryan; sister Hazel O達ryan Gosselin; Brothers, J.W O達ryan and H.D. O達ryan.

She is survived by her children, Marianne Quarles Sherman and husband Lonnie of Salado, TX; Jeanne Karen Quarles Armstrong and husband Dr. Johnny of Ruston, LA; Richard Ray Quarles Jr. and Cathy of Downsville, LA; Todd Quarles and wife Pam of Downsville, LA; Michael Wiley Quarles and wife Shelly of Downsville, LA; grandchildren, Timothy Franz, Matthew Franz, Cody Armstrong, Abby Armstrong Simpkins and husband Aubrey, Jeremy Ray Quarles, Dusty Quarles, Josh Quarles and wife Kristin, Hannah Quarles Polito and husband Chad; great-grandchildren, Rory Franz, Eva Simpkins, Tullie Simpkins, and Bain Simpkins. Brother- in- Law, Dr. Michael Mapes and wife Beth and a loving friend and companion, Annie Carradine.

Pallbearers will be Grandson痴.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA
