Katherine Wells McKenzie (08-07-2009)
Graveside services will be held for Katherine Wells McKenzie, 92, at 1:30, on Saturday August 8, 2009, at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport.  Rev. Jimmie Pyles will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m.

Mrs. McKenzie was born August 15, 1916, in Raymond, Mississippi, to George and Ruth Hammack Wells. She entered into rest on August 5, 2009, in Arcadia, LA. Mrs. McKenzie was a life long Methodist, last attending Cedar Grove Methodist Church in Shreveport.

Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by her husband Joseph McKenzie, her grandson and a brother. She is survived by one son and spouse, three daughters and spouses, one sister, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
