Sadie “Maw” Silmon (08-07-2009)
Funeral services for Sadie “Maw” Silmon, 81, of Farmerville will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Farrar Funeral Home with Bros. David Martin, David Barkley and J. L. Williams officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston.  Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.

Mrs. Silmon, a homemaker, died Aug. 6, 2009.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee & Vada Tidwell; 2 brothers: Freddy & Robert Tidwell and brother-in-law, Rayland Delasalle. Survivors are her husband, Elwood Silmon; 1 son: Jerry Silmon & wife, Karen; 1 daughter: Vickie Sayers & husband, Ronnie; 1 grandson: Jeremy Silmon; 2 sisters: Marcelle Delasalle & husband, Johnny and Flo Delasalle; special cousin, Bob Lee and numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Silmon, Schuyler League, Emmett Silmon, Ray Cardwell, Joe Burton and Orval Swan.
