Louisiana Tech University has decided to fight the continuing decrease in state funding by increasing enrollment — a move university officials say will be beneficial not only to Tech but also the city of Ruston.

“We’re going to grow. We’re going to grow with quality. We’re going to grow intentionally,” Jim King, Tech’s vice president of student affairs told about 50 people gathered on the university campus Thursday evening for the Tech Faculty Senate’s annual Future of Ruston forum.
