An 18-year-old Ruston woman is charged with second-degree battery as a result of an alleged stabbing that occurred Thursday after she and several other women reportedly got into a fight.

City police arrested Joyrionna Tillman shortly before 6 a.m. Thursday. The incident happened on East Hilly Avenue and ended with the victim being stabbed six times and airlifted to a Shreveport hospital for treatment.

According to Tillman’s arrest affidavit, the fight apparently began at Tillman’s apartment on West California Avenue. The victim told police Tillman jumped her from behind.

The victim and Tillman encountered each other again on East Hilly Avenue. That’s where the victim got into a fist fight with Tillman, and several other women joined in.

The victim told police she didn’t know any of the three women who eventually fought her. The report says two of the women got the victim on the ground and Tillman stabbed her multiple times. The victim said Tillman was standing over her with a small kitchen knife in her hand. Tillman and the other women ran when the victim began to call out that she’d been stabbed. Police located Tillman at her apartment.

She was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
