The Ruston Police Department is asking for help identifying this suspect caught on surveillance this week in a tool heist case.

Ruston police are asking for the public’s help in locating two suspects wanted for questioning in connection with the alleged theft of a $3,000 tool from a local electrical distributor.

The suspects, both Black males, were caught on surveillance video inside Consolidated Electrical Distributors, located on Commerce Street, around 1 p.m. Thursday, according to a press release issued Friday afternoon by Ruston Deputy Police Chief Chad Hamlin.

One suspect is described as having a medium build, dark hair, and wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and white shoes.

The other suspect is also of medium build, bald, and appears to have a mustache. He was wearing a dark colored shirt, dark colored pants and jacket, and white shoes.

The suspects appeared to flee in a black sedan, possibly a Nissan Altima or Maxima, Hamlin said.

The vehicle was last seen heading north on Farmerville Highway.

Anyone with any information on this case is asked to call the Ruston Police Department at 318- 255-4141 or Crime Stoppers at 318-255-1111.
