Lincoln Parish records three more COVID-19 deaths

The Louisiana Department of Health is reporting three more Lincoln Parish residents are dead because of COVID-19.

The new deaths reported Wednesday bring to 70 the total number of parish residents who have succumbed to the respiratory virus since the count began in March. LDH is also reporting two more probable COVID deaths.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the parish now stands at 2,681. That’s a 34-case jump since Tuesday, and a 78-case jump over a week’s time. Statewide, LDH reported 6,754 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, the highest single-day total since the pandemic began.
