GRAMBLING — The Grambling Police Department is asking the public’s help in locating a Ruston man wanted in connection with shooting his girlfriend after a domestic disturbance turned violent.

An arrest warrant has been issuesd for LaMario L. Moore, 34, on one count of aggravated second degree battery of a dating partner and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

At approximately 8:55 a.m. Saturday, Grambling police received a 911 call in reference to a shooting in the 300 block of B. T. Woodard Circle, GPD Chief Tommy Clark said Monday.

Officers arrived to find a 34-year-old female with a gunshot wound to her leg. A preliminary investigation indicates the couple got into dispute and Moore apparently shot his girlfriend.

Moore then fled the scene. His girlfriend was airlifted to Ochsner LSU in Shreveport for treatment of her injuries. Moore should be considered armed and dangerous, Clark said.

Anyone with information on Moore’s whereabouts is asked to call the Grambling Police Department at (318) 247-3771.
