GPD to conduct vehicle checks this weekend

The Grambling Police Department will conduct random vehicle checks at various locations throughout the city beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday and continuing through early Sunday morning.
The checks are to help ensure the safety of residents, Grambling State University students and spectators at Saturday’s GSU home opener football game, city police Chief Tommy Clark, Jr. said. GSU plays Florida A&M on Saturday afternoon at Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium.
Clark said the primary goal of all law enforcement agencies that will be on hand is public safety at gameday events.
