Rosilynn Gillum, a 2009 graduate of Louisiana Tech University in sociology, will join the University Foundation as development officer for the College of Education, starting Nov. 15.

Gillum brings a proficiency in relationship building and customer service, and her experience in the healthcare industry, to the position, according to a university news release.

“We’re thrilled that Rosilynn will be bringing her expertise in building relationships to the Division of University Advancement,” said Brooks Hull, Vice President for University Advancement. “I look forward to her seeing her growth in our industry and seeing her impact as we work for the people, knowledge, and culture that are integral to Louisiana Tech.”

A 2014 graduate of Leadership Lincoln, Gillum has served the area at the Northern Louisiana Medical Center (NLMC) for the past 12 years. Her career began as an office manager, progressing to her current position as patient care liaison. While at NLMC, she served as an advocate for patients, organized community events, and improved processes for scheduling and billing.

“As we make progress in achieving our college’s goals within the Tech 2030 strategic framework, Rosilynn’s ability to connect stakeholders with information that encourages their involvement in cultivating learners and leaders, creating scholarship and innovation, and advancing our learning environment will be integral to our success,” said Don Schillinger, dean of the College of Education. “Her expertise and support as we execute our college’s plan will help create an unparalleled learning experience for our students.”
