Several Ruston firefighters spent part of Thursday afternoon power washing stretchers with a fire hose for Northern Louisiana Medical Center emergency department. Hospital officials said the stretchers need to be cleaned regularly, and Thursday’s event was a way for firefighters and emergency room personnel to work together in a non-emergency setting. A 3rd Judicial District grand jury has indicted former Louisiana Center for the Blind employee Michael Ausbun on 18 counts of molestation of a juvenile by an educator.
