The Monroe Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. will celebrate National Lemonade Day with the Lincoln Parish Council on Aging Monday from 1030 A. M. to 12: 30 P. M. at the Council on Aging office on 1000 Saratoga Street in Ruston.
The city of Ruston announces, weather permitting, Neal Street will be closed to through traffic today, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The closure is necessary to replace a culvert.
Weather permitting, Cedar Creek Road between Post Oak Drive and Road Camp Road in north Ruston will be closed to through traffic Monday beginning at 7 a.m. until further notice, according to the city of Ruston.
Weather permitting, the city of Ruston plans to close W. Georgia Avenue between James Street and Everett Street to through traffic today from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ruston City Hall and the Utility Billing Office will be closed on Tuesday in observance of Independence Day, according to city officials. There will be no garbage collection inside the city limits Tuesday. Pickup for Tuesday residential routes will be picked up on Wednesday. Also, there will be no commercial garbage collection Tuesday.
The city of Ruston has announced, weather permitting, Cedar Creek Dr. between Post Oak Dr. and Hodges Road will be closed to through traffic Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The closure is necessary for a drainage culvert change out.
Weather permitting, the intersection of W. Mississippi Ave. and N. Homer St. will be closed to through traffic beginning 7 a.m., Thursday, to 7 a.m., Friday. The closure is necessary for utility repairs.
The Dubach Restoration and Beautification Organization (DRABO) will be holding a membership drive. DRABO is calling all Hornets to attend the next meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the old bank building in Dubach.
