My husband and I recently had my parents over to the house for lunch. As is my practice, I made sure to set the table.

The town of Dubach recently held a clean-up day that brought together citizens from all corners of the community. Pictured right and above left are Mike Benefield and youngster Kaden Bernon working together along the edge of one of the local roads while pictured above right are Dubach Restoration and Beautification Organization President Renee Vowles and her sons gathering trash. Pictured below, Bernon works with Dubach Councilman Christopher Moerbe to load trash into one of the town’s garbage trucks. Town Clerk Charla Thompson said the event was highly successful and the town appreciates the efforts of so many to help Dubach continue to be a wonderful place to live.

The Ruston Rotary Club proudly announces the recipients of the September Student of the Month Awards. Recognized by Rotarian Chris Barr, each student was honored at the October 21st luncheon and presented an award of achievement. Each awardee has maintained a minimum GPA of 3.5 and been active in extracurricular activities and leadership roles on their perspective school campus.

DEAR HARRIETTE: There is a guy my age who lives in the same dorm as me. We sometimes study and hang out together on campus. He told me that he really likes me and wants to date me.
