Voters pass all 5 alcohol sales propositions

Ruston voters approved all five alcohol sales propositions at today's local-option referendum.
That means:
- Package beverages of any alcohol content level can soon be sold at grocery stores that fit Ruston's 15,000 square-foot ordinance, including Walmart and Super 1, who sought the change
- Beverages of any alcohol content level can soon be sold by licensed establishments for consumption on premises. That means bars can open in Ruston, within the downtown zone established by city ordinance
- Restaurants with the proper license can continue to sell beverages of any alcohol content for consumption on premises
