During this Thanksgiving season, we thank you, Ruston, Grambling, north and central Louisiana, for your support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness – Ruston, Louisiana Chapter (NAMI Ruston).
Early voting for the Dec. 10 general election begins Saturday, but most Lincoln Parish voters will have only three proposed state constitutional amendments on their ballot.
The Calvary Baptist Church Chapter of F.A.I.T.H. Riders, a motorcycle ministry passionate about sharing Christ with the world, recently held a Toy Run to collect toys and monetary donations to help make the holidays a little brighter for those in need throughout the community. Assisted by members of the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department, 25 riders on 21 bikes contributed either an unopened toy or $20 to enjoy a ride throughout the area along with a hamburger lunch and door prize raffle event. Members Jeff Pipes and Sandra Pesnell display toys collected during registration.
Daniel Huey is grateful to be back in Ruston. In spite of unimaginable loss, that sense of gratitude continues to permeate every ounce of his being. It’s something he openly attributes to his faith.
