Funeral services for James Wilson Beck, Sr., 87, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Culbertson Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Jennings and Pastor Jeff May. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the church.

Judith C. Yarberry Holland

Funeral services for Judith C. Yarberry Holland will be held Monday, May 14, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at the Burkhalter Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church, in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Rev. Brian Mercer, with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holland was born on May 31, 1928 in Ruston, Louisiana and died Friday, May 11, 2012 at her home in Ruston after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel D. and Leola S. Clinton, and husband Alfred E. Holland.

Funeral services for Mrs. India Gray Davis, age 91 of Dubach, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 11, 2012 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach. Rev. Connie Smith and Rev. Charles Taylor will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Jeannette Christine Cadwallader Swearingen

Jeannette Christine Cadwallader Swearingen, age 90, passed away in Shreveport, Louisiana on Saturday, May 5, 2012, and joined her husband and other loved ones in Heaven. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the parlor of Broadmoor Baptist Church, 4110 Youree Drive, Shreveport, LA 71115. A funeral service praising God for Jean's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Broadmoor Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Tom Harrison and Dr. Scott Tatum officiating. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park on Mansfield Road.

Funeral service for Sarah A. Posey, age 89, of Ruston will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Officiating the service will Rev. Greg Tipton. Interment will follow at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Posey was born November 29, 1922 in Salem Community MS and passed away May 2, 2012 in Ruston, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and husband Lonnie Posey.

Mrs. Posey was a active member of the Mineral Springs Baptist Church for 59 Years.

Minister Hessie James, Jr.

Minister Hessie James, Jr. was born on January 21, 1947 to Hessie, Sr. and Maggie James. He was of the Baptist faith. Minister James was Associate Minister of New Bethel and Mt. Taber Baptist churches of Bernice, LA. As a man who walked by faith, Minister James was committed to his calling.

On May 5, 2012, Minister James left his earthly home to reside in the heavenly mansion God had prepared for him.

George William Byrnside, age 81, died on April 28, 2012, at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, New Jersey. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 11:00AM at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ruston, Louisiana and will be followed by lunch in Fellowship Hall.

Shawn Lee Henderson

Graveside services for Shawn Lee Henderson, age 41 of Ruston are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Sibley Cemetery near Choudrant. Pastor Chris Witt will officiate under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Shawn was born on June 6, 1970 in Lafayette to Travis and Rita Henderson. His long battle with illness ended April 28, 2012 in Ruston as he entered into the waiting arms of his Lord and Savior. He was surrounded by people who loved him. Shawn was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Wilcox Henderson.
