“The Worst Adventure” By James Myers Chapter 1 Once upon a time, there was a man named Alex. He was an adventurer. He could smell adventure. Alex knows a lot of people. One is named Max. He was younger than Alex. He is about 9 years old. Max is his neighbor. Alex isn’t around much. When Alex is home, Max comes and sees him. Alex likes to stay at home but Max always spoils it. Max likes to play baseball so every time Alex is at home he makes him play baseball. That’s not all Max does. He makes him do stuff, like his chores. Alex loves going away, but not this time, he doesn’t....
