RHS, Creek, Grambling gain prep wins

Grambling High’s boys, Cedar Creek High’s girls and both of Ruston High’s teams captured victories in district basketball action on Friday night.

The Kittens (22-5, 10-2), ranked No. 1 among Class 1A teams in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association weekly poll, came away with a 56-42 District 1-1A win against Haynesville.

In a District 2-1A contest, the No. 8 state ranked Lady Cougars (21-5, 7-2) got past Claiborne Christian 43-31.
