Junior guard-forward Olu Ashaolu (right) recorded his ninth double-double of the season earlier this week with a 15-point, 10-rebound production in a 71-60 loss at Boise State. He will be starting tonight at Idaho when Western Athletic Conference play resumes for the Bulldogs.

Two things continue to haunt Louisiana Tech University’s basketball Bulldogs: turnovers and sloppy shooting.

Both areas were a downer for coach Kerry Rupp’s again on Wednesday night in a 71-60 Western Athletic Conference-opening loss at Boise State.

Tech committed 21 turnovers, seven of which occurred during the opening 10 minutes in which the team also went without a field goal in 14 attempts.

Rupp is hoping that things can turn around for his team tonight when Tech (9-6, 0-1) continues league play with a 9:05 p.m. (CDT) tipoff at Idaho (6-6, 0-1).
