Almost time for tree pruning
t’s time to start thinking about yard tree pruning. Once the leaves have fallen off the deciduous trees and the area had a few days of cold weather, it’s time to get out the pruning tools. However, you don’t want to start too early in the year. Decay fungi spread their spores more profusely in the fall, and wounds from fall cuts often heal slower. Most years, about a week after Thanksgiving is a good start date, and the end of February is a good ending date for pruning.
