Train whistle heard no more?

Ruston revisits idea of establishing citywide quiet zone

A car turns to cross over a railroad crossing in downtown Ruston. The city of Ruston is working with HGA to establish a quiet zone, where trains would not blow their horns as they travel through the city.

Many a meal at local restaurants and downtown events in Railroad Park have been interrupted through the years by the whistle of trains.
