Sims, a Louisiana Tech University English teacher, was murdered in January 2003. Her body was discovered in a remote area of the Jackson/Bienville Wildlife Reserve about five weeks later. Her lover, Wayne Joseph Guidry Jr., was convicted of the murder in Claiborne Parish on Thursday.

“We’ll be working on this for at least the next 30 days, and we anticipate this will get on the air sometime in March or April,” Peter VanSant, a correspondent with the show, said. “We don’t have a firm air date yet.”

VanSant said the murder and subsequent trial fits all the criteria for the show.
