The GRAMBLING POLICE DEPARTMENT
The GRAMBLING POLICE DEPARTMENT is accepting applications for the following vacancies: Part-time Dispatchers and Full-time Police Officers. Applicants for all positions must be a high school graduate or hold a G.E.D, be of good character, submit to a full field background investigation, possess high morals & integrity, no felony convictions and have a valid Louisiana driver’s license. Specific requirements in addition to those listed above are:
Must be at least 18 years old, possess excellent communication and computer skills, patience and good judgment. Ability to communicate in stressful situations and legible writing of critical information.
Must be at least 21 years of age. Have excellent communication skills both oral and written. Ability to accept instructions and perform duties with primary emphasis on enforcement of federal, state, and city laws. Investigate crimes, vehicle crashes, complaints and provide a variety of services to the community. Must successfully complete the Basic Police Academy within (1) one year of employment.
