Tech, GSU deals good for future
In recent weeks we’ve seen both Louisiana Tech and Grambling State universities signing agreements with two-year colleges to work together.
And during these troubled economic times, especially for our state’s higher education system, that’s a good thing.
Louisiana public colleges and universities have lost $315 million in state funding since 2008. Last month, Gov. Bobby Jindal announced an additional $35 million cut for this fiscal year. Those cuts aren’t shocking. The system is broken.
