Parish passes Amendment 2
The Lincoln Parish Police Jury could increase its budget by a couple of million dollars sometime in the next few years thanks to Louisiana voters.
In Tuesday’s election, the state’s voters approved Constitutional Amendment No. 2 by a vote of 58 percent, with 663,012 in favor and 477,365 against.
In Lincoln Parish, 80 percent of the voters — or 8,541 people — cast their ballots in favor and only 20 percent — or 2,094 — against.
