William and Nancy Hanks celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 17. Their family hosted an evening of food and fellowship at the Hanks’ home. The Hanks were married Oct. 15, 1960. They have two children, Mike Hanks and wife Cammie, and Jackie Billberry and husband Philip. They have four grandchildren, Lance Billberry, Brittney Billberry, Hunter Hanks and Abigail Hanks.

DUBACH — The residents of Dubach can rest assured that the municipal government has a “healthy” amount of cash flow, as Certified Public Accountant Don. M. McGehee delivered the audit report ending on June 30, 2012, to the town aldermen during the regularly scheduled council meeting on Jan. 22.
As McGehee walked the aldermen through the 40 page report, he highlighted certain areas.
There will be a grand opening for Legacy Park, a special playground that will be housed in Lincoln Parish Park, from 3-5 p.m. Saturday. The event is expected to include food and entertainment. The park features equipment making it accessible to all children, including those with special needs. The project, which has been in the works for around two years, has been funded by a mixture of community donations and a grant from the Lincoln Health Foundation.
