Schools get report card
Lincoln Parish Schools have something to celebrate during their long weekend. Last week’s release of the state’s School Performance Scores shows several improvements at the local level.
The District Performance Score improved from 94.1 in the 2008-09 school year to 98.0 for the 2009-10 school year. This ranks the parish 21st out of 70 school districts in the state.
Lincoln Parish was touted as one of the top 10 most improved schools in Louisiana. School Improvement and Accountability Coordinator Donna Doss said 11 of the Lincoln Parish School System’s 12 schools showed some improvement on their 2009-10 School Performance Scores. In fact, Lincoln Parish Schools Superintendent Danny Bell was asked by State Superintendent of Schools Paul Pastorek to be present in Baton Rouge when the scores were released.
