Robyn Brown’s phone was ringing off the hook when she picked up my call around noon on Wednesday.

“No, I’m not in need of $1,000, and I’m not in the United Kingdom,” Robyn told me before I could mention the reason for my call.

The local realtor said she had already gotten about 15 phone calls in the last five minutes from friends listed in her e-mail contacts who were curious about the strange e-mail message they received from her.
