Allen's business was one of many across Louisiana that was recently targeted in a scheme from a company known as Who Sent Flowers, which bought up three local phone lines in Ruston — and many others throughout the state.
Who Sent Flowers — which registered one phonoe number (255-5125) under three separate names — redirected the local phone calls to a directory center in Pennsylvania, then essentially served as a wire service for unsuspecting victims who thought they were ordering flowers from Ruston Florist.
