Girls cheer up for Pepette mini-clinic
More than 80 local girls are showing their spirit during the Pepette Cheer Mini-Clinic this week at Ruston High School.
Girls from pre-k to sixth grade have spent the week learning cheering techniques and dance moves from the Ruston High cheerleaders.
Heather Reeder, Pepette coordinator, said the event is a tradition that offers RHS cheerleaders a chance to give back.
“I came to this when I was little,” Reeder said. “It gives younger girls a chance to get to know the high school girls and hang out with them. It’s also a great way for my girls to give back to the community.”
