“There are at least 100 we’ll put out at Grambling Memorial Garden. If we end up running out of flags, we’ll run up to Wal-Mart and get some more. We want to make sure every veteran who served our country gets the remembrance they deserve.”

Grambling Memorial Garden will also hold a Memorial Day program/service at 5 p.m. Sunday. The event is open to the public and will be held at the cemetery, located on U.S. 80 West.

Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Owens Memorial Chapel of Ruston observe Memorial Day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday with their 18th annual “Field of Flags.”
