During the summer, many of the recipes you find with our weekly food story in Sunday’s paper feature the fresh fruits and veggies so many of us enjoy. This feature gives readers the stories behind a wide array of side dishes, desserts, dips, main courses and snacks. And while it’s difficult for us to find a local resident willing to share a recipe for our food page each week (really — it’s a challenge. So if you or someone you know would like to participate, please call!), we here at the Leader don’t often have the opportunity to share our favorite dishes.
