Jury accepts bid on sewer project
"We have about 13 or 14 days left before the bids expire," Ron Riley, a consultant hired for the project, told the jury at Tuesday night's meeting. "We believe we have the commitment for the $36,000 we need from the state."
The bid selected by jury members was one from Jabar Corp. of Calhoun, for $741,308.56.
Parish Engineer and Administrator Richard Durrett said the $36,500 needed to complete funding for the project could come from a rural development grant.
