Ruston puts on shades of yellow
Even though the calendar said the official start of spring was more than a week away, my husband’s allergies proved otherwise. So did the yellow film of pollen coating every car driving the streets of Ruston.
When we had those blessed few days of rain last week, I watched as the pollen washed off every outdoor surface into yellow pools in the driveway. It reminded me of my days in elementary school, after I’d help the teacher wash the chalkboard and dump the bucket of chalky water outside in the grass.
