’Dogs fare well against ‘assaults’
“This year, we had much more sticking power,” Dooley said Wednesday at an LTAC-hosted “Signing Day Bash” that attracted approximately 500 supporters to the Ruston Civic Center. “We did a great job of holding off the assaults this year. In December, we had already gotten over 20 firm commitments and those wound up signing with us.
“We were able to get some players that SMU, TCU, Tulsa, Southern Mississippi and even some Big 12 Conference schools were going after and also some that Kansas State and Iowa State were recruiting. We had success against our recruiting rivals in the region.”
