I was recently talking with Domestic Abuse Resistance Team Advocate Debra Faircloth in regards to the growing trend of cyberstalking. Faircloth said a large number of domestic violence victims with whom she works have been stalked by their abusers at some point or another, whether it’s via phone, e-mail or text messages.

The problem with many stalkers, Faircloth said, is they are great with coming up with rationales for their behavior when cornered, and many female victims play right into their hands.
