Talented Art takes limelight
“I love it,” said June Ponder, a Ruston resident whose grandson’s art was on display.
“To think these children are so young and do this. I like the pencil drawings. I guess that’s what catches my eye the most.”
The Talented Art Program is the artistic equivalent of the schools’ Gifted and Talented Program for academically exceptional students. Started last year, the program has grown to include approximately 60 students parish-wide in grades five-12.
