Grambling steps out with ‘Walk’

The Eddie Robinson Museum, set to fill the old women’s gym on the campus of Grambling State University, will be the head of a walking trail to run through downtown to Martin Luther King Street. “The Village,” as town leaders call the suffering downtown area, is the focus of a community sponsorship effort to raise funds for renovations.

City engineer Dean Dick said the money raised will be used to fund burying overhead lines in the Village. Grambling has a Department of Transportation grant of $175,000 for use in the sidewalk project.
