Millsap : A ‘steal’ for the Jazz
“I had to do a lot of drilling and cutting.
“Mostly I was drilling boards together. It took awhile, but we accomplished a lot.’’
That’s a fit analogy for Paul Millsap’s career as well.
He may have gone virtually unnoticed on most 2006 NBA draft boards, lasting until the Utah Jazz snatched him with the No. 47 pick in the second round.
But already he’s accomplished a lot, in this case being only one of five players to be on both the Rookie and Sophomore teams.
Three of the others, Andrea Bargnani, Brandon Roy and Rudy Gay were among the top eight picks.
