Currently playing at the Dixie Center for the Arts, “Anybody Out There?” follows Oliver Pankey, a born loser down and out on his luck.

A man already down and out on his luck wakes up to the worst day of his life. This scenario is currently being played out in Ruston Community Theatre’s production of  “Anybody Out There?” at the Dixie Center for the Arts today through Saturday.

“He wakes up on his birthday, gets a brick thrown through his window, his landlady tries to make him pay for it, his girlfriend breaks up with him, he gets robbed and his employer decreases his salary,” said Director Billy Chandler. “He is a born loser, Barney Fife-type character.”
