John Paul Hancock led the offense and Lane Nutt turned in a solid pitching performance to lead Choudrant High School’s baseball team to a 9-0 victory over Quitman Tuesday afternoon.

Hancock collected two hits in three at bats and Nutt was credited with the mound decision to help boost the Aggies to an early season record of 5-4.

LADY COUGARS WIN: Cedar Creek High School’s softball team stayed perfect Tuesday afternoon with a 5-2 win over Monroe Ouachita Christian in a District 2-1A opener for both schools.

The Lady Cougars improved to a 9-0 overall record.
