New USDA service center opens in Farmerville

Local United States Department of Agriculture Chairman Reggie Skains (right) and Natural Resources Conservation Service state conservationist Kevin Norton were two of several state and local officials who attended the grand opening of the new D’Arbonne Soil and Water District’s office building.

The local United States Department of Agriculture’s D’Arbonne Soil and Water Conservation District recently celebrated the grand opening of its new location at 501 Glory Drive in Farmerville with several local and state representatives attending.

Local USDA chairman and state commissioner Reggie Skains said he was excited to have the opportunity to relocate.

“We had an office already but were in need of an upgrade,” Skains said.
