Recently, I asked my dear friend, Beth, to help me redecorate and clean out the main living spaces in our home. I completely trust her, so I told her to have fun and do whatever she wanted, which included rearranging furniture and pictures, as well as clearing out unnecessary items and clutter. I was actually out of town at a retreat while she was being creative, so it was wonderfully fun for my husband, Michael, and our kids to come home every day to see what was changed, moved out or repurposed while they were at work and school! For starters, Beth removed everything, purging the space, so she could have a clean slate in order to see new possibilities for each room — including the kitchen, dining room and living room. She moved everything into the office and put lots of things away in boxes in case she could use them later or perhaps not use them at all.
