Parish NAACP works for residents
Editor’s note: This is the fourth and final story in a series of features running in February in recognition of Black History Month.
As February draws to a close, so does the national celebration of African-American History.
However, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, both nationally and locally, continue observing, learning from and protecting the history and rights of all African-Americans throughout the year.
February serves as the organization’s big push for new members, but that doesn’t mean its too late for residents to join the local branch.
