Funeral service for Alcy “Buddy” Campbell, age 77, of Dubach will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Connie Smith and Bro. Eddie Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Mr. Campbell was born June 10, 1935 in Lucien, Mississippi and passed away February 26, 2013 in Ruston, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by parents: Richard Campbell and Bertha Chandler Campbell; brothers: Monroe Campbell, Fred Campbell, Sedric Campbell, Lofton “Doc” Campbell and Charlie Campbell; and sisters: Leathia Huff and Ivy Lee Maxwell.

Mr. Campbell worked for Chevron Oil Company for 26 years. He was a Cattle, Goat and Chicken herdsman and a Mechanic. His was the place that the neighbors would come to borrow equipment or to get parts and knowledge or to get their broken equipment repaired.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife of 57 years, Theresia Webb Campbell; son: Darrell Campbell and wife Jeanie of Dubach, LA; daughters: Vera Campbell Badgley and husband Ron of Dubach, LA, and Renee Campbell Fuller and husband Eddie of Delhi, LA ; grandchildren: April Campbell Burnham and husband Jermey of Dubach, LA, Amanda Fuller May and husband Conner of Ruston, LA, Kyle Campbell of Dubach, LA, Britney Fuller Crow and husband Jeremy of Start, LA and Caitlin Badgley of Dubach, LA; great grandchildren: Aeryn Jones, Jackson Skillingstad, Laila Jones, Cade Campbell, Gavin May, Chancie Campbell, Aubrey Kate May and Jesse Crow; brothers: Willie Campbell of Bude MS and Archie Campbell and wife Margie of Meadville MS; sister: Virginia Campbell Fendlason Leonard and husband James of Clinton, MS; sister-in-laws: Shirley Campbell Rushing and Claire Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Campbell, Conner May, Jermey Burnham, Jeremy Crow, Brian Stephens, Allen Miller, Jonathan Martin and Kerry Gaskin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Huey Davis, Mike Coyle, Jack Phillips, Ronald Taylor, Leo Michal, Johnny Miller, Howard Hockenjos, Don Upchurch, Bryan Milton, Grady Bagwell, Dr. Allen Herbert, Bill Jones, and Tommy Dugdale.

Memorial may be made to American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Charity of donor’s choice.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, and Friday, March 1, 2013 from 12:00 noon till service time at Fellowship Baptist Church.
