What really matters at Christmas
It wasn’t for the reasons that have made it hard in the past — trying to cram in too much shopping and cooking and spoiling all the fun of it. This year I made a concerted effort to simplify my holiday. I shopped online, plan to use recycled wrapping paper and pawned off the cooking responsibilities onto my husband.
Instead, what spoiled my week this time was other people. It seems to me that other people were letting all that holiday stress get to them, and they were lashing out.
