Heritage of dog-fighting should end

First of all, the dog isn’t given a choice. Proponents compare it to boxing or organized man-on-man combat that is publicly consumed at an incredible rate in every civilized corner of the word. The fatal flaw in that argument: Nobody asked the dog.

The law views it that simply, and we as citizens of a larger society governed by the rule of law must abide by the edict that dog-fighting is illegal and punishable by fines and jail-time.

State law prohibits:

• For amusement or gain, causing any dog to fight with another dog or causing any dogs to injure each other.
